Appears to be in great condition, however, this is being sold "for parts / not working" because I am not equipped to test it. Comes as surplus from a university astrophysics andaeronautical research department. Blades do not spin freely (likely needs cleaning).

The Pfeiffer TMU 071-003 YP / PM P03 142 has a free of wear permanent magnetic bearing at high vacuum side and oil lubricated ceramic bearing at the backing side. This Turbo Pump is designed for a wide range of applications in the research and industry fields. The Turbomolecular Pumps TMH 071 P/TMU 071 P may only be used for the purpose of generating vacuum. The turbopumps may only be used to pump those media against which they are chemically resistant. For other media the operator is required to qualify the pumps for the processes involved.
