Vintage Military Survey Tripod. Johnson head plane table type tripod, make unknown,typical as made to US Government specifications of US Corps of Engineers. Collector's item or ready to put use. Ball head has 5/8" X 18 male thread, fixed length legs (48")". In good working condition, ball head moves smoothly, but has a patina of rust in places. Surplussed in the mid '60s, I acquired it in the mid 70's to do a road survey, but the fixed length legs proved to not be suitable for rough terrain work. Been in storage for the last 50yrs.
