I searched but I couldn't find the answer so I figured I would just ask it here. How do I changed the icons on the desktop of my curve? It's probably something easy but I can't seem to figure out how.

What do you mean change? Appearance - they are OS and theme controlled.

Location - read the user guide for how to move icons around and how to hide those you don't wish to see/use.

Ah ok I think that I get what you are saying. So the five icons I have on my main can't be changed only hidden correct?

No.
You can move them (as long as the theme allows it)
menu - scroll to an icon you want on the home screen - menu - move - scroll to the top 5 icons on that screen - click
it will now place it there.
and will appear on your home screen
