I have some questions specifically related to O2 software. I bought my 8100 last week and it has O2 Version 4.2.0.51. Having looked at many threads on here I would be very grateful if someone can answer :

1. Does this version of O2 software support the 2Gb microSD cards (it is not clear to me from the other many threads on this topic which version specifically of O2 software supports them)

2. Is it worth me upgrading the OS to the version (4.2.0.64) mentioned in the thread : Pearl O2 Software Update Hosted... (I'm not allowed to put the link in !)

3. I have the green light problem mentioned in some of the threads - would the 4.2.0.64 version of O2 OS fix this ?

4. Just a point of interest as far as I can see the O2 website doesn't have any version of OS for the 8100 listed at all and neither does the O2 download site mentioned on blackberryfaq.com

I feel it is worth upgrading to the .64 version. It will fix the green light issue and some other known bugs. I'm not sure if your version can support the 2gb micro SD card, but the .64 version can. I have put up the update on the web Here is the link just download it and install it.

I have now upgraded to v4.2.0.64 and it does cure the green light problem. I also have a 2Gb microSD card and it works fine too. So if anyone is pondering the same issues I recommend the upgrade. It's a bit nerve wracking waiting for the Pearl to restart after loading the new OS though ! Have fun, Dave
