Blackberry Desktop manager backup error
Please Login to Remove!
While performing a backup, using Desktop manager 5.0, I received an error :
"Error backing up database(s).
[Profiles] 11 of 13 entries retrieved.
What does this mean? After I clicked Ok on the error message, backup continued and finished OK.
PS: Attached is a screenshot of the error.

Despite what others day, there are still problems with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software, version 5.x. Uninstall it and install v4.7 and the mysterious backup problems/error messages disappear.
I have not had any problems with the backup process since replacing DM 5.0 with DM 4.7.

And yet ive never had problems backing up with v5.
But, the first backup issue thing is the browser cache, regardless of where the backup fails.

Backup Failure
I have exactly the same issue of error message as alpitre, above.
Cleared browser cache and it made no difference.
Interestingly, did not have this problem with BB Desktop Manager 4.7; problem only seems to have started after upgrading (?) to 5.0

I cleared Browser Cache, but results are the same. What is Odd is that until last week BBDesktop Manager 5.0 worked OK.

I would clear the profiles database on the phone.
It will mean you have to re-set all of your customized settings there, but it has fixed issues in the past for me.

Run the desktop manager software with your Blackberry connected.
CLick on Backup/Restore. Go to the advanced options. It will allow you to view the databases on the handheld. Clear the profiles database, and it should solve your problem.
As a side note, I am running Social Scope and it causes the backup to fail on profiles. It will continue through and make a backup file, though.

Will this clear everything? What I mean is, will I have to reinstall all my apps., themes, etc.? Will I have to setup again things like SD card encryption, BB Password, etc.?

Again, the issue is related to 5.0. I am running SocialScope, too. DM v5.x gave the errors... DM v4.7 does not.

PS : Since I have this issue, my BB does not allow me to remove the password and appears with some type of set security that does not allow to remove it (see my related post http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...rd-issues.html).

No, it will only clear the database you chose to clear, i.e. profiles.
