Default 9850 + OS 7.1 = Hotspot

Anyone try this out yet? I have a test device at work that I'm currently upgrading to 7.1 and have added the hotspot to so I can try it out.

Would be nice if it worked well so maybe we can dump some of the MiFi's our users have that they use infrequently.

I'm guessing no news is bad news in this case. Any updates?

Happy hollidays.

It works.....but isn't horribly fast, at least with Sprint. Probably ok for basic web browsing, but nothing heavy duty.

I know it isn't the same carrier/model/OS, but I stopped using 7.1 on my 9900 (on T-Mobile). You need a Hotspot add-on ($20/month) and I think I pay them more than enough money know. Something to look at next year. Also, the WiFi dialing was blocked for outbound calls (an "issue" per my friends at T-mobile). I'll wait for the released version.

Who am I kidding. The next leak will go on. I was running 7.1.0.115 but I'm back onto 7.0.whoknows.

Merry Christmas everyone.
