Ouch, believe or not, a lot of people still depend on Skype, like my son talking to his great-grand father and other old folks overseas. They all have skype on their computers, and since they don't use tablets or iphones or androids, we can't really push them to get BBM. It would be excellent if we could get them to use bbm, but sadly it's not possible, especially with BBM not being available for anything earlier than Android 4.x
So you mean it runs in the background and drains battery even when it is not being used?
Sorry to hear it's still a port and not a native app.
