the problem is that it says data connection refused wat does this mean

You should be able to use the phone for SMS and calls. The message will always appear unless you add a BlackBerry Data plan.

ok well t mobile fixed everything. i dont have a clue how the hell the service books work but now my phone got them. thanks to everyone for the help

If you have a BlackBerry Data Plan and it's still saying data connection refused then go into Settings>Options> Mobile Network and make sure that Data Network is turned on. You should also be able to go into Settings>Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing table and see if there are entries. If there is then highlight the first one, click Menu and then Register Now. That should pull the settings for you internet to your phone through the network. If that still doesn't help then try calling your Carrier to make sure everything is provisioned correctly in their systems for internet access.
