Times are different, and while Apple will no doubt suffer with the loss of Jobs, I doubt that they will fail that hard.

As long as Apple follows Jobs main focus "How the user will interact" with a product I think they will be fine and maintain the standards set in place

Re: iFlop?
I think things may cool for a while, but I doubt that Apple will lose their bubble. A lot, however, will depend on the outcome of the patent lawsuits and the fight with Samsung, among others.

Agree 100%
As for the 4S - I need a phone so I'm getting it but I was a little let down that there was no exterior changes. I have no doubt though that it will be very fast..

Re: iFlop?
iFlop? I guess not.
Apple sells out of iPhone 4S pre-orders in less than 24 hours | TiPb
Also, the 4S is really geared toward 3GS owners, who's 2 year contract is up, not 4 owners. Compared to the 3GS, the 4S is a vast improvement.

Re: iFlop?
200,000 iPhone 4s models pre-ordered at AT&T in just 12 hours. Verizon and Sprint have not released pre-order numbers. The 4s looks to be the hottest iPhone yet. Amazing, considering so many people already have them. I would have thought the phenomenon would have slowed down by now. Another great tech call by me, the anti-guru.

Re: iFlop?
I have a 4, which I haven't used since I got my WP7 device. But if I was still using it, i doubt I would upgrade, iOS5 would have given me all I needed.

I have the HD7S on ATT. Still haven't gotten the Mango update yet, but it's pretty good. I like the 4.3 inch screen which you can't get on the iphone. I like Metro and am looking forward to finally getting Mango when it is released for this model.

There is supposed to be anway to force an update by toggling the network connection off/on at certain points during the "check for updates" process.

The Exchange integration is good, about the same as was on the iphone. Believe it or not, Active Sync email gets pushed to my ipad about minute faster then on my Windows Phone, go figure. As far as Office goes, I have't used it.
