BarTiMus I agree with all that too. I too noticed the extra third party apps in the screen shot.

However, I am not convinced any of this is going to work now. Since the OP stated he has a bought Sprint CD, that doesn't make sense.

But in the screenshot it shows Word Mole, that comes with the Bold, so who knows what is going on here.

Why do you have a "CD that came with the phone and it has sprint on it"

What EXACTLY do you have? A Bold 9000? A Sprint 8330? A Sprint 8830?

What is the branding on the face of the BlackBerry and where did you buy this device?

All of a sudden I feel like I have been wasting my time.
No...This is a 9000 Bold it is an unbranded phone like I said before, I will ditch the cd, like I said before I received this phone second hand.

And?

What does second-hand mean? Off the back of a truck, your brother-in-law gave it to you, found somewhere?

Do you know of existing problems from the previous owner(s)?

I bought it off a friend, no there were no previous problems and the phone worked fine before I messed with it yesterday

Look at the Help screen.

Do you have any idea what the "vendor ID" is on the device, which would have been on the Help screen? (ALT + SHIFT + H). I know you cannot look there now.

I suspect, with no branding, I wonder if you got a pre-release test unit?

JL_Cmder (javaloader) must be the most over used program out there. It's valuable when needed but should rarely need to be used.

What are the first few numbers of the IMEI? You can find the IMEI under the battery. If they're 00 it's likely a pre-release unit.

The short version is that it was probably a pre-production unit that RIM selectively distributes for testing purposes. Your friend just took you to the proverbial cleaners.

IMEI's that start with 00 are pre-release versions. It likely would never work except for phone and sms anyway. RIM disabled most all the pre-release versions of the Bold.

Ok, so back to the original task at hand...

I've wiped my Bold and now App Loader is greyed out and I can't load the OS back on. What's up with that?

THANK YOU !. Ive tried so many things with the usb plugged into the front. It acts as if the software is uploading to the device, but nothing ever happens until i tried to plug it in the back.. THANK YOU
