Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to sync my blackberry 8700c with the desktop manager via bluetooth. I have followed the instructions exactly and no luck. I can pair my blackberry with my laptop just fine, but when I try to search for the blackberry it says it's not there. I am using desktop manager 4.2, dlink usb bluetooth adapter (dbt-120) and the windows bluetooth program. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

BT on an 8700c is for voice only, not data. To do what you are trying to do, you will need to upgrade the OS on the BB to 4.2. I have heard that it can handle BT data. On eof our experts should be able to help out.

That's not correct. Search the Blackberry.com knowledgebase for "bluetooth sync" and you'll find articles that detail how to set up bluetooth sync with a PC. The most common issue is not using the Microsoft bluetooth driver instead of the OEM's driver.

Not to mention that you can use BT GPS pucks with the 87XX series (clearly not voice devices).
