Default Planner software

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for obtaining some kind of planner software that works with my desktop and Storm. I'm looking for something close to Palm type software with the option of updating meetings or planner info on a computer or the device and syncing.

Unfortunately, Outlook is not an option for me as my company has a very outdated version.

I've searched for the last hour and came across a few pieces of software but each requires Outlook or doesn't seem to have desktop software included...i.e a fancied up version of the standard planner software on the Storm.

Any suggestions?? I wanted to add if there is some type of default software already available through using the Blackberry Desktop Manager I can't figure that out either

RIM does not make their version of any PIM software. Outlook is what most people as most people have it, and it syncs very cleanly with the BB.

Your other options for a manual sync:

Organizers The following organizers are supported for use with Intellisync:

* IBM Lotus Notes 6, 6.5, 7, 8
* Microsoft Outlook 2002, 2003, 2007
* Microsoft Outlook Express 6, Microsoft Windows Contacts (Vista Address Book)
* Novell GroupWise 6.5, 7
* Yahoo!®

What version of Outlook does the company use. DM 4.2 works with earlier versions, 1997/2000/xp while DM 4.5 to 4.7 works with 2003/2007 versions.

Joe,

I have had the same problem with my Blackberry as you have had with yours. Plus, just because most people have Outlook does not make Outlook a good planner. In fact, I think Outlook (all versions) is a terrible planning tool.

The only thing that I have found as a work around is Memotoo. It is okay but it is better than Outlook. Go to Memotoo on the web.

Good luck.... I want my Palm back!
