Hey everyone! i like the SHORT vibration, and it works GREAT! But when my phone is in vibrate mode, it turns the short vibrations into normal vibrations.

How can I fix this short of making a new profile? Any ideas? How can I keep the short vibrations in vibrate mode?

Unfortunately I don't think you can change the settings for any of the preloaded ring profiles that come on the storm (Vibrate only being one of them). This is a known glitch that I'm hoping they will fix with future releases.
