As the sig below, i have 2x Blackberry's and i frequently switch SIM Cards from both phones to swap usage and generally ensure one is used as frequent as the other...

Now one thing i have noticed is that whatever phone the Orange UK SIM Card is in, i get delivery reports no problem when sending a text message (the small D that appears beside the tick) however when i insert the O2 sim card in, delivery reports NEVER ever get recieved on the phone

Has anyone else noticed this on O2? I also had this problem on my 8220 Pearl Flip before i sold it...

Not sure if it's carrier specific or email domain specific, but I have delivery confirmations turned on and only the check mark w/ D when emailing certain.. Ie Gmail/etc but not every email I send get a delivery confirmation but I know they get there.

Try entering *0# at the start of an SMS message - this should give you a delivery report. I think you need to leave a space after the # before putting the body of the text.

Certain carriers have been turning off that feature for SMS messages.. They claim is an invasion of privacy or lack of security...

Since delivery confirmations verify there is someone at the other end.

(My previous post in this thread, is wrong I thought he was referring to email messages.)
