Default 8130 Help PLZ!

Alright 2 weeks ago Alltel said I could get a new Phone sent to me for Free because my old ones screen was cracked. Anyway I got my new phone and the Internet wouldn't work at all...I was able to download Myspace amp on it though but it wouldn't load or work at all either. So they said they would send me another new phone...well today I got the 2nd new phone switched on and the same thing is going on with this phone.

I've been on the phone like 100 times it seems with Alltel in 2 weeks and been to there office 5 times and they seem to not know how to fix this.

My old phone was 4.2 and the new one is 4.5, could this be the problem? I need help plz...

You might want to verify with your carrier that you have a BlackBerry data plan on your account.

Well my gf got another phone aswell because hers wasn't charging and her web doesn't work but her myspace amp does...

So call them and ask if are data plan is even on?

Make sure that the BB data plan is on your account and properly provisioned. make sure they resend the service books also.

Alright the phones still are not working....

Everything is turned on...they had us do a test on the phones and it worked for like 30 mins then the web stopped working again.

They said they can send us new phones again...its bull im on my second one in less than 2 weeks. They also told us we could take our phones back to the alltel store to get looked at...well they don't know what's wrong either... And I don't feel like running back there again, I've already spent $50 is gas running back and forth with these new phones...

What can I do? Plz help a brother out

The one in Reidsville NC is a corp store...I do believe. And that's the place I've been running back and forth to...

Have you manually tried resending the service books?

Have you tried wiping the phone and upgrading to the most recent OS in the sticky threads at the top of this section?

What data-using programs have you tried so far?

Do you see any data in/out by watching the arrows over the reception bars in the top/right corner of the screen, whenever you attempt to use a program that uses the data network?

Can you use default data apps like BB messenger?

Can you access your BB mail account from the phone?

Have you tried a battery pull?

Does your BB browser work at all, or even load the default homepage?

Is your PRL up-to-date? If not...have you asked them to manually send the correct PRL version to your phone? My PRL was the old one and them having their system push the new one didn't work because the system was set to keep resending the old one, even when I used the *228 2 option. I had to tell one of the advanced techs to manually push the update to be sure the correct one was sent.

I would try those before getting rid of your phones. If none of the above work, not sure what to tell you other than reception in your area must suck or you're just unlucky.
