For the past two days, my phone intermittently won't receive text messages until I make a phone call. Then I'll get a clump of several texts all at the same time that I didn't previously receive. Many were sent several hours before. I can't figure out how to fix it...I've tried taking the battery out several times and making sure that stuff is being saved to my memory card instead of the phone, but none of these things have helped. My only quick fix for now has been to call my voice mail and once the outgoing connection is made, my texts will pop up.

Any help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I had this issue when I was on sprint. they told me it was a phone issue, I concluded it was a network. Needless to say, I'm on att now.

I don't know what to tell you on how to fix it tho. Call and complain to the customer service?

I would try to update your roaming list (*228 send).
If that doesnt work, you may need to call Alltel for a replacement.
