Question Syncing with home and work pc's?

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings! I'm so glad I found this forum, I've been busily downloading some of the power tools. I have a question.

I'm trying to use my 7100t to its every advantage. I bought it through work on our company account, and my boss set it up to sync with my work outlook system and calendar.

However, I also use outlook at home. I do get home emails on my BB, but my home calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts do not sync with BB.

Is there a way to correct this? I've searched everywhere and can't figure it out!

Just a note for ya... Make sure you set a different name for the redirector at each location if that is what you're doing. When both of mine were set to the default "Desktop", it would only send mail through the last place it was synched. Once I gave each location it's own name in the Redirector, all was good.

hmm. I have no idea what that means. I'm geek challenged.... I have work email and home email through my BB.I did manage to get my calendar items, but it does not appear to be picking up my home email now. Crap. Probably screwed it up!

Are you running the redirector in both places? I would imagine not if you're geek challenged. I run my own Exchange server at home. So if you have the redirector at work (or does your company use a BES?), how are you getting your home e-mail on the BB?

I set it up to pick up my home email (it's gmail). Then when my boss set it up, he tied in my Outlook for work, so I was getting work AND home email on my BB.

Today I figured out how to get my home and work calendars. Now I appear to be getting work email on my BB but not home email. Which isn't terribly necessary, I guess since its web based.

Ugh, whatever.

Unhappy slightly different

i don't email with my BB, but i do sync at work and home. both running winXP pro 2nd edition. the syncing is flawless at home but work is not so good. both outlooks should have identical contacts, calendar, memo, and tasks...but at work it's a crapshoot. sometimes in the past i would have to force the handheld to overwrite outlook, then it's good for a while. i've even made changes to a contact's name on the BB but work wont pick up the change. i will make a change in outlook contact at work, but BB wont pick up the change. sometimes this even happens with new entries.

what gives? both home and work computers are setup the same and the Intellisync settings are identical.
