Default Contacts help

Please Login to Remove!

Upon deciding to keep my Storm, I took my old LG to the Verison store to have them load my contacts on the Storm.
The first store spent about 10 minutes and said they couldn't do it.
The second store I went to really gave it a try, the Tech spent at least an hour trying numerous different options to get my contacts to load on the Storm, even tried directly from the sim card, but he too was unable to load my contacts.
Since I currently have about 150 on my LG and only 6 on the Storm
can anyone suggest software, anything to keep me from having to spend 6-8 hours trying to enter each and every contact on my new phone?
Thanks in advance.....

I dont have the storm - I have a bold, but what is the problem loading from the SIM? Cant you just go to Address Book>SIM Phone Book> Copy All To Contacts?

That should do the trick, as long as the data is on the SIM.

Other than that, there are several products you can buy to transfer the data from the SIM or the LG phone to your PC, and then to the blackberry via Outlook and Desktop Manager.
I will have to get the correct info from my office, but I believe the software I use at work is from DataPilot. It comes with software for your PC and several USB cables that have dongles that match various cell phone connectors. Just load the software, connect the source phone to the PC and load the data to your PC. Then you can transfer it into your email client and ultimately to the blackberry via the Desktop Manager.

But I have a question - cant Verizon load your phone book wirelessly via their CDMA network? I thought that was a feature they had.

If none of this works - maybe you just have a defective handset. My first bold was defective, and I had to return it after only a week.

EDIT: The package I am using is called DataPilot.

Before the Storm, I owned a Nokia N80. I just copied the contacts on my SIM Card, and then I copied from SIM to my Storm. I know this doesn't help you, but I think you should try again. If still doesn't work, then you can use Outlook.

If you do have to enter them manually (for some stupid reason) you may want to do it on the Blackberry Desktop Manager so your thumbs won't hurt so bad then just sync with your phone...
