Default BB & Outlook sync problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks, I just got my first BB and everything seems to be working except for a little problem that is bugging me. I can't get my BB to suck over all the contacts in my Outlook.

Now, don't laugh, but I'm still using Outlook 2000 because I have the whole Office 2000 suite and it does everything I want. Can't justify the upgrade just yet. My BB is using Desktop manager 4.3.0.17 and my device manager is 4.3.0.7. I had some issues when initially setting up my email because I'm not sure I picked all the right options. I have no "work" email, just a few personal accounts that are set up and working. I was able to load all my contacts from my old SIM card but I used to use a Palm Pilot and I had a lot more contacts in there. I was able to sync the Palm to Outlook and move all the contacts over to Outlook but I can't seem to get the BB to sync to either Outlook or the Palm Desktop apps. Actually, it does seem to sync up and say that it is doing it but the contacts never show up on the BB. Any ideas?

Delete DM 4.3 and d/l and install DM 4.2 SP2. There are issues with DM 4.3 and above and Outlook 2000.

Default Success

Thanks for the great info. I did what you said and I got a perfect sync with Outlook 2000. I got all my contacts and my calendar info from Outlook to my BB.

Now, the only dilema I have is what to do with a perfectly good Palm Pilot.
