When reading the posts it seems like the Bolds that have been released have alot of problems. Are thh types and mumber of problems more than experienced when other models have been released? If they are, then maybe it is good that there is a delay in the ATT &T launch until they are workd out.

Remember that people with no problems never come on to a forum to complain that they have no problems.

I would say this is average for a major device release. I personally think AT&T is working on their 3G network before releasing the Bold.

Thanks- that is true- I have had 3 blackberry's including the pre phone blackberry's in 2001 and never experienced serious problems- or ever poseted that i did not have problems!! I plan to purchase a Bold so when I see all of the problems posted I start to wonder.

I am on my fifth BB (957, 7280, 8700, 8800 and Bold 9000) and each brought significant advances for their day.

The Bold is the best yet, for a lot of reasons.

Yes, some of the third party applications are a little buggy but those third parties seem accessible and quick to make their application work on my Bold.

Best advantage for me: only incremental learning is required to adapt to the new device.

Worst problem with the Bold: (frankly the ONLY item on my list: Battery Life. My 8800 went 3-4 days and the Bold needs to be recharged every night.

It's just as NJBlackBerry posted. Based on my experiences moderating car forums, it's the vocal minority that can easily give an appearance that something is a disaster. Because we're dealing with electronic devices, what may be a problem for one person may not be a problem for another.

That being said, my issues only are battery life (I take that as a given because of using media players, constantly browsing when bored, etc.), and one of the plastic chrome slats snapping off one corner that was remedied by a warranty claim by my dealer. Do they make me put down the Bold and run away screaming? No. As with anything new (iPhones, cars, trucks, TVs, computers, corporate reorganizations, etc.), there are always problems that can creep up where no one has thought of in development, testing, and prototyping environments.

Yep, batt life seems to be the only complaint if any with the BOLD. Other's, well don't want to go into nitty gritty details, as they're just fine. It would be good if a Major Release of the OS can solve the Batt issue and doesn't effect other things. :D

if i had to compare my bold to previous blackberries, i would have to say my bold is probably the least reliable in terms of uptime.

but, theres much more to like with the bold than any other berry.
