I have downloaded google maps application, all was good, but when I am trying download maps I get the message "could not download google maps".
Now that's what I do. I press the "g" icon on the screen, then navigate to "maps" button, download's progression bar appears for few seconds, and then disappears and I got the message on the bottom on the screen "could not download google maps".
I don't know, maybe there is smth not right with the phone settings, because I also had a problem trying downloading the trial version of the dictionary, and the customer support advised me to install Java. It's kind of a bull...t, because Java is originally preinstalled, so what is this problem about? I can go to web sites, I downlaoded gmaps applications, but cannot download maps themselves... What the...?
I'm looking at the web page and don't see any "g" icon - just the Google Maps icon in the top left corner.
Using your BlackBerry's Browser go to: http://www.google.com/gmm
and click on the "Install Now" link.
Maybe I was unclear. The g icon is not on the website, it's on my phone's screen. When I press it I got on the top of the screen: mail, maps, news, reader. When I highlight the maps icon on the bottom of the screen there is the message that maps are not installed. When I press it, for the few seconds I got the progress bar and then the message on the bottom, that maps could not be installed. And thats it for infinity...
