While the Neo is opened Battery Contacts are inspected for Oxidation due to Battery leakage, if found, Contacts and connecting Wires to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) are NOT cleaned but replaced. Oxidation from prolonged leakage migrates over time so it can be unseen inside of the wire (the Oxidation is consuming the Copper) and not just on the surface of the Contacts. In a case where the Oxidation has made it to the PCB, it is replaced even if it is still functional as it will eventually fail over time.
