So an unannounced phone with no ship dates is delayed?

The same way I knew the 9500 would work on AT&T. I've seen this device, and although it's not completely done, it's pretty close. Eval units have been out for months and they are working well.

Yeah, before they can go and release a model of BB to the market it has to befully tested on all SP networks to get all the bugs out, otherwise RIM would be in the same bucket as Microsoft is with Vista..a endless supply of bugs and failures.

I waited a year for Verizon to have the curve and now that I have it, I'm waiting for Verizon to get the Storm. Not that I'm going to get it, but sure can't wait to try it at the Verizon store. I'd rather have them work out all the bugs and delay it a while and have a fully functioning device. No point in releasing a device with numerous bugs.

NJ is right. You can't delay something that has no release date.

What, I've never heard of this, and its being sent out to the masses as well.... Who is in charge of emailing this information to everyone anyway?

If you scroll down in the comments of the BGR post, you'll see that a few people disagree with this assessment. One seems to have information, the other is going by his knowledge of Verizon's process.

In any case, everything we've heard is a rumor. It might come out 3 to 4 weeks later than the mid-October date we'd hear before, but that might be on schedule for RIM and Verizon.
