Unhappy new bb user with dead bb

Please Login to Remove!

I am a new bb bold user. I was getting up to 12 hours out of my bold with min use. I contacted the service provider who said the battery was prob faulty and to bring it in for an exchange. With xmas et al i didn't get round to it and next thing the bold died altogether. The dealer is now saying it is showing signs of "water damage". I know it hasn't been anywhere near water or even condensation.

Does anyone know if the batteries on these things can leak?

If the battery leaked you would see clear signs of the leak. Do the water sensors show red?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 11000 Colosol)

It may just be that you took your phone into the bathroom with you while taking a shower. The humidity could have caused the issue. Leave it on the side fo a day or two. See if that corrects the issue
