you can't, verizon counts aim messages as text messages. if you are planning on using aim or any other chat client i would upgrade to unlimited text messaging plan.

I do not think AIM on verizon counts as TXT. It is actually part of your data plan unless you have one of those old phones. AIM connects to the Internet via your data plan and just like any other programs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I was on my Windows Mobile Motorala Q, AIM was NOT part of my txt.

It has always been Data and not SMS. Blackberry doesn't care about your SMS counts, they care about data .

huh? your carrier cares very much about sms counts, which is why you get billed for each one if you dont have a text plan.

aim for bb sucks. even when youre "signed on" you display as "offline forwarding to mobile" on other peoples buddy lists.

use beejive IM. its the best one out there and it uses data, not sms.

in european countries there are no unlimited texting plans ;) that's why data rocks. BTW- beejive isn't out yet for the storm yet. waiting for it to come out :(
