I've had my 9000 for about a month now and I have a few issues that i need to clear up.

1st - I'd like to be able to synchronize documents with my laptop. The desktop manager syncs my outlook calendar ok, but there is no option for documents. I guess I could do it through the media manager, but the media manager on my laptop is not active. I've seen a few other complains about this. Why doesn't the media manager work?

2nd - Can I sync the blackberry using microsoft active-sync?

3rd - are there any upgrades for the calendar? It needs a few additional options and a little boost for looks.

1) No, you cannot sync documents.

2) No, you cannot use Active-sync.

3) Not natively. There might be a 3rd party calendar that you can install.

Ok - what about the desktop media manager? Why doesn't it work? Is it an installation issue? I have to confess, that program did not install very smoothly - there are some major bugs.

Use Mass Storage Mode and copy files to your device using Windows Explorer.

Well I can certainly do it that way - but why does'nt the media manager work?

It sucks! I don't know of anybody that uses it. Everyone I talk to uses Windows Explorer. Unless if they are converting video for the BlackBerry. Then some people use the Roxio Media Manager for the conversion.

Ok - I'll go with that. It does suck. Is there another sync program available for the calendar etc. . .

Not that I know of, other than a BES server.
