Default Sim Card Rejected Consensus

Please Login to Remove!

I have had this problem since I got my phone. I have pulled the bat, rebooted etc. It always comes back but doesn't seem to affect anything.

What is the consensus on this issue?

Thanks!

you want to call here, global support:

1800 711 8300

have your sim card # handy (go to options - advanced options - sim card and write down the big long sequence of #'s). I would call from a line other than your storm.

tell them you have the "SIM CARD REJECTED" message coming up, and would like to have your storm registered on the GSM network.

once that's done, they will tell you to power off and power on your device, and that should be all she wrote.

I was greeted by a very pleasant irish/scottish lady who didn't feed me any crap, and told me all my options, and tips if/when I travel to europe or anywhere else that has a GSM dominant network (read as, anywhere outside of CONUS).

good luck.

Well, so I did this. They told me that basically by doing this I am enabling international access and that if someone gets my phone they can make international calls etc.

Sound correct?

i just pulled the sim car out. i have no use for it. put it in the box and store in the closet. hehehe.

i also changed the settings to verizon only so it doesn't even look for any gsm networks. not sure if this would speed anything up at all on the phone, but again, no reason to even bother with anything gsm unless i ever decide to travel outside of U.S.

I was getting this message each time my train went into the tunnel (daily). I got help on here somewhere. was told that by changing the network setting to 1XEV instead of global. that fixed it and I never got the sim card rejected message again!

I had same issue... pulled SIM.. placed it in drawer.

As info; VZW tech support said that changing settings would work as well. I did change my settings the FIRST time it happened.... weeks ago. But they changed back.. which VZW support said 'cant happen'... err.. but it did. They then told me to get a new SIM card.
Oh well...hope my SIM enjoys the dark, dark drawer.
