Default Accelerometer

Please Login to Remove!

Went to the Verizon store today and purchased a new Storm with all the gear to go along with it. I love the phone so far but the accelerometer is not working. Flip the phone and nothing happens, it just says in vertical mode. Do I have to unlock it somehow or did I get a defective unit.
Thanks,

Have you tried a battery pull yet. If it doesn't work after that, I would suggest exchanging it as it may be defective.

Make sure you're running the latest (official) firmware from Verizon (.75). If it still doesn't work, then I'd say it's defective.

Thanks all. I have done a battery pull and the storm is running .75 but still no accelerometer. Back to the store tomorrow. Z

Make sure you try it out in the store. Better safe then sorry.

Im using .85 which is a beta but its way better than .75...but ive found that whichever way that the accelermeter is stuck in...turn it back that way wait a second and then turn it back to whatever you were trying to turn it to!
