Has anyone else noticed that the Video Camera app doubles as a flashlight? This thing is bright! The utility of the 8900 just went up in my book.

Someone needs to come up with a 10-line-of-code app that can do it a little better (e.g. variable timeout).

If the Pearl 2 did this, I'll delete this thread and eat the search bar.

Any of the BB devices with a video camera option will have this feature. So far, though, nobody has come out with an application to just turn on the flash for a flashlight. I believe the RIM api's don't allow it.

I do that with my 8320 all the time. However, you can just watch the battery drain when you use it, though.
