Default forgot the password for Password Keeper with OS 4.6.1.128

Please Login to Remove!

HELP... I have been updating our BB8350i units to the latest OS 4.6.1.128. Up until now I like to issues the new OS fixed for me. I have a user that forgot the password for using the Password Keeper software. The old version would allow the user to erase all passwords after 10 failed attempts. This is not the case with the new version. I have tried to remove the apps and reinstall with no luck. It is still prompting for old password.

Any suggestions for resetting the password keeper password?

Unfortunately entering it in 10 times and reloading the password keeper application are the only fixes.

One thing you did not mention, after the OS was loaded was the device information restored to the phone first?

I would try to get password keeper reset both before and after the restore happens. Whichever way has not been attempted yet.

If it has been done both ways...hmmm....Maybe a handheld wipe would help it? Settings>Options>Security Options>General Settings>menu key>Wipe Handheld.

Yes the phone was restored immediately after the upgrade. I am taking your 2nd option. I just wipe the BB and of course with no user info the password keeper info was cleared. It is now going through the Enterprise activation. I will let you know the outcome.

ok....Wipe the BB as Marcus suggested. I also deleted and re-added the user from BES for s**ts and giggles. After the Enterprise Activation complete, I had the option to create a new password keeper PW. Then I could enter password 10 times before the all passwords were erased. Just like before the upgrade.

Thanks Marcus for your help!!!!
