Default force all trafic to go over wifi?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got an 8320 but I do not have a data plan… that’s why I got a phone with Wifi. I work and live in aeras completely drenched with wifi that I have access too, so why do I need a data plan?

So here is my question:
Some applications (like TwitterBerry and Funambol BB sync) don’t work with a wifi connection. I get various errors about not having a connection even when I *know* my wifi connection is working!

Is there some service book entry I can add to make *all* data go through wifi?

I, of course, want my voice and SMS communications to go through the cellular radio, though.

thanks for any help you can provide!

I know you can do that for the Browser (using the default browser "hotspot"). For other data usages, I don't know.

yeah, i found out that i could delete the service book that gave me the T-Mobile browser...

the whole reason i am asking my question is because the service book that made the T-mobile browser forced all traffic to go through the cell radio instead of the wifi. i figured if they can force the traffic to go through the radio then i can force it through wifi.

You can add service books to your device explicitly by selectively restoring the service books from a complete backup done by a person who has data plan on his berry. But I doubt the apps would work without your PIN getting registered in BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service)
