Grrrrr! I don't know what I did when I set this up but when I just went to sync the DM it wanted to delete 60 items from my Outlook. I don't want it to ever delete items from pc. I have looked everywhere in the DM and can't find a setting for this. Do you know how I can fix this?

Under the sync menu you should be able to choose one-way or two way sync aæso you can choose only to sync future appointments

I would "like" to sync both ways, but I couldn't find anything that referred to syncing only future appointments. (using 4.5)

I have the 4.7 try to update. I use sync both ways but only future appointments. My BB accidently deleted alle my 2008 appointments in Outlook. Luckily my IT department were able to recreate the files.

I have 4.2 SP2 but the idea should be similar.

Synchronize>Configuration>Configure synch>select calendar> go to Configure with the drop down menu > Advanced settings > Date Range

Got it! I keep forgetting you have to actually click on the calendar to get the options.
I changed it to future appts and it worked.
