hi guys im really new to this. this is my first post. I have a BB curve 8310 OS4.5.0.110 and i understand there is a new BBM out there. I was wondering if my phone can even update to BBM 5.0 and if not what can i do so im eligible for this program. Also if anyone knows if there is a new OS out for my curve 8310? all links are welcome and very much anticipated. thank you for your time please sum1 answer back.

firstly, the OS for your device can be found in the stickied thread in the device forum for your device.

Secondly, easiest way to know if its compatible is to try and download it!

Yes, it will work on your device, it just requries that OS 4.5 or higher be installed on it.

You can download it by going to www.blackberry.com/messenger from your device browser.

Don't download anything unless you've done research on it. "Just try it" will mess it up... Your old BBM will be deleted, and the new one will be installed but not found anywhere on the device...If your OS is below 4.5.0.169 it will not work. Unless you do some modifications..Either way, make sure you have a backup file FIRST..As far as the latest OS for your curve, BB.com keeps up with the new updates pretty good..Hope this helps.
