OK forgive me, I am not heavy into the deep tech of these things as you have seen, but I still plod along.

I have another question. I have the Storm 2 now. I stated elsewhere that my screen was fine when purchased, but after DM presented a "Core" update I let it download it and now the screen acts like my Storm 1 did after the ugrade to OS 5. (dimming down in horizontal mode). After the download, DM told me my phone was up to date. Now today I plug it into DM to back it up, and it again says there is an uodate for my phone of the Core program.

Is this a program mistake or are they really making tweeks daily like this? I was under the impression they lumped all the fixes into a full OS release, not small updates.

After what happened to my screen dimming on the Storm 2, I am hesitant to do anything now.

No, its just asking you because its an idiot. Seriously.
It happens to me on my Bold, always wanting to update and theres nothing to update.
Just click cancel.

OK...but then while I can see it is probably in error, I did suddenly detect the change in the screen dimming on turn to horizontal, as I had with the Storm 1 after upgrading to OS 5. This did not exist on the Storm 2 until I did say ok to the first invite to update.

So my conclusion, is that is changed something. The issue did not exist, as it is the first thing i checked when I upgraded to the Storm 2. My son has not done the upgrade, and his Storm 2 bought on the same day as mine, does not dim, so that eliminates an over the air update as the cause I guess... :-/ What else could have changed this?

I honestly have no idea.
But nothing did update, it just over-wrote the original.
