I own a Curve 8900. After I restarted my phone, I noticed my SMS inbox folder was not on the menu. I tried menu>show all, I couldn't find it there either. I also tried to view all the folders, I am able to open all the folders, except the SMS inbox, from which I get an error message saying: Uncaught Exception: java.lang.ClassCastException. I also tried to remove the battery and restart the phone, which only caused that same message to appear once the phone was turned on.

I cannot read any of my incoming messages, they've actually stopped reaching my phone. I figured I would save any of my saved messages to my SIM and completely restart the phone, but once I go into the Options menu, the SMS option is no longer there.

I'm hoping someone knows a way to fix this because I've run out of ideas
