I have a Blackberry 9700 that makes a gong sound approx. every 12 hours around 4:30. Anyone else that has this and why does it happen? The sound is quite loud!!

check the alarm setting....go to main screen go to clock, hit menu button to left of trackball, options, see alarm set..

All alarms are turned off- any other ideas??

If it's not something in the stopwatch, timer, alarm clock, or calendar, see if any of your applications have a timer feature. Then do a battery pull.
