Default Remove facebook icon from ext. display

I can't seem to find anyway to remove the facebook icon and the (I think) number of messages from appearing on the external display. Is there setting or something that controls this?

That didn't work. The facebook icon and a number to left of it are always displayed on the external display.

Did you try logging out of FB and then see if you get the notification?

I logged out of the facebook app I stopped receiving notifications. I would also suggest checking your notification options on facebook via computer and see if that helps.
