Default 8320, LogicMail and Opera

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought an unlocked 8320 and I am using it with my non-data T-mobile plan. I can connect fine to my Wi-Fi at home. I'm having trouble running LogicMail and Opera Mini. When I try to run it i get the error:
"the application XXX has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy."

I don't know if this is an error with the application, my phone or my Wi-Fi.

I've read a bunch on 'service books' and t-mobile's 'Blackberry Feature Enabler' but all those threads have been from 2009 and when I called T-mobile they said they don't have anything like this feature enabler anymore. Can anyone help?

Don't know if this will be of any help but under Host Routing Table in my settings there is nothing listen, should there be wap.voicestream.com listed there for things like this to work?

You have an IT Policy left over from a previous user and the device having been on BES. See blackberryfaq.com, or look at the sticky threads at the tops of the forums, and find the instructions for Remove IT Policy.

Ok that worked like a charm, thanks. On a related note. I have a data plan now for a few days. Gmail app now works but logic mail is still trouble. Gmail works on just wifi, will it continue to work after the data plan expires?

I do believe that the Gmail app will continue to work on wifi without a data plan. I'm basing this on when I first got my phone and didn't have a data plan yet.
