Unhappy BB Pearl 8100 - Cannot Hear The Caller

Hi,

I bought the Blackberry Pearl 8100 4 months ago, it was working great. All the sudden for the last few days I couldn't hear the caller's voice from my phone. The caller has no issue in hearing my voice.

If I turn on the Speakers I can hear the caller's voice. Or if I connect to the headset/bluetooth I can hear caller's voice.

But you cannot carry the headset all the times, or you cannot turn on the speakers while working.

Does anybody had this issue before, or any solutions for this issue is highly welcomed.

PS: I also tried updating the new BB update recommended by t-mobile, still I have the issue. I even turned off the phone, removed batteries, still doesn't fix the issue.

Ear speaker may have come loose! You can open it and check. I'd probably just do a warranty claim

Thanks for the quick reply, I will try to remove it and see if I can fix the ear speaker, if not I will do the warranty claim by calling them.

I work for T-Mobile btw, and I'd recommend taking the back cover and the battery and tell me if there is a red dot. If so that's a moisture or water damage indicator and no mfg warranty will cover that. I have seen that often.

Moisture problems aside, the ear piece speaker has been an issue on the pearl. As long as you don't have a red square under the battery cover I would call TMo and they will likely warranty it for you.
