Default charging while on

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

My 8100 pearl doesn't seem to want to charge when turned on. I need to physically turn it off for it to charge. Is this normal ?

I have looked in my notice, and in your forum on the battery life guide but can't seem to find anything about this.

TIA
Patricia

You should be able to charge while it is on. In fact, you see a little "plug" indicating it is charing.

Have you tried popping the battery out and then back in?

Battery life is a very subjective thing and depends on how many voice calls you make (and their duration).

Patricia, you should be able to charge while, most certainly. A common fix to man small issues with a BlackBerry is to to pull the battery while powered on, to let the BlackBerry reboot. See if thgat makes a difference.

OOPS, maybe it is charing then.
I do see a little black thingee (looks like a lighting rod) that pops up next to what looks like the battery icon (just under the bars that tell me the charge) .
I was looking for the blinking light that I see when I charge when the phone is turned off.
Thanks for the quick replay
