Ok, first of all I'd like to say that I have searched EVERYWHERE around both this site, and everywhere else. Every time I try to install either an .alx or .ali application using the desktop manager I get the good ol' message that says "No Additional Applications Designed For Your Device Were Found".

I know that I need both of my OS versions to sync up, and I have 4.3.0.97 on my phone. My carrier is Verizon and when I download 4.3.0.97 from the verizon website, the filename SAYS it's 4.3.0.97, but after I install it it says that it's version 4.3. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. I'm sorry again, because I know how frustrating it is to see the same topics posted over and over. I've also followed these instructions word for word, but alas, I cannot get anything installed onto my BlackBerry (unless it's an over the air instillation).

Are sure you have OS (handheld) software on computer? Sounds like you installed only desktop manager thinking you were installing the OS. If that's not the case, the I don't know.

After you download the OS to your PC, make sure you then double click on the file to actually install it onto the PC (you should be able to see under the Add/Remove Programs window if it's installed).

"Blackberry Desktop Software 4.3"
and
"Blackberry Device Software v4.3.0 For The Blackberry 8130 Smartphone"
installed on my computer.

I also have
"Blackberry 8130 Smartphone (CDMA) v4.3.0.97 (Platform 3.1.0.51)"
Installed on my Blackberry.

I tried to find that file by running a search, but could not find it.

Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

try there and follow those instructions.

Found vendor.xml file, (thanks for the directory, I was searching vendor.xml). Still no luck. I've tried to reinstall both the OS and desktop manager, but still nothing helps. Maybe I will just have to download everything OTA or call Verizon to have them actually have them help (you nice people on these forums are probably saving them buckets of money).
