Default Data connection refused?

Please Login to Remove!

My phone has started saying data connection refused up at the top where it usally has the carrier name. I do not use data services so i do not care. I do know however that my carrier uses gprs data and it says edge under my signal indicator. I have already set it to never allow data on my phone. What do i need to do or is there anything i can do?

Nope, that is what it will when you have no Data Plan.

If you are not using the internet at all you can try Menu>Opstions>Mobile Network>Data Services = OFF

Does that clear the message from your screen?

I haven't had Data Services for a while now and it just started doing that.

Maybe related to that or not, but I recently signed up for a Data Plan then cancelled it the next day.
In Conjunction with this Data Connection Error my phone has also stopped sending MMS messages?

I tried to send a picture to a bunch of people in my phone book and it's not working...Any ideas?

MMS messages use some data to send so if you have data turned off it will not send a message. I learned that when i sent some pics with my old phone and then my bill was huge.

Correct. No data = no MMS.

But--you probably had a MMS service book in your service books all that time.
