Default Browser and MediaNet Browser Question

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a 8310 from AT&T, I am a n00b (why do I always see n00b and not Noob or noob, are there different levels of n00bness?).

I am somewhat of a nerd when it comes to phones and computers however this is my first GSM AT&T phone, and Blackberry. I have been with VZW for 6 years. On my BB there are two versions of the browser, MediaNet and the regular Browser. I have checked the settings and it seems that the MediaNet has all the boxes checked where the regular browser has only a few checked.

I have searched this forum and could not find an answer....I only searched for a few minutes so there may be one out there, if any one has an answer or can give me a link to and answer I would appreciate it.

What are the advantages of the MediaNet browser, do I need it? I mainly just do google searches and wiki seaches. Also if I don't need it can I delete it, I don't think I see an option to delete it in the remove applications section, if I remember correctly I can only remove the browser, not MediaNet. I Have tried Opera Mini and see no real advantage to the regular browser for my needs. Any answers to this would be great.

Sorry about the long post and multitude of questions. Any help is appreciated.

You can hide the medianet browser if you don't want to use it and don't want to see it. As far as advantages, don't know. I'm on tmobile, and I assume medianet is something like t-zones. I don't really use t-zones, either.
