Default Major battery drain - question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all - couple of questions. For the past two weeks, by 8310 battery does not last even a day, even with minimal use. I charge it every night and yet by mid-day, I am below 50% and by the evening, I am almost out of juice. I read some posts that say that using Today Plus theme can drain the battery more, so I stopped using it as a test and it is still the same.

I was about to order a new battery from Seido but then read that the batteries are the same for the 8310 and my old 8700 so my question is - is it safe to just pop my old battery from my unused 8700 into my 8310?

Second question is - is it true that using the Today Plus theme (any Today theme) is bad for your battery? Experiences?

Thanks

Won't hurt to swap batteries. Give it a shot. Yes, today themes have been known to deplete the battery.

Change themes and then reboot the device by removing the battery. Also, did you load any 3rd party apps?

Thanks John - nope, no 3rd party apps except Yahoo To GO, but I don't keep it running. I'll pop in this old battery and charge it up and see. Thanks

What about BlueTooth? That also drinks up some juice too if you leave it on all the time.

It does if you leave it on and a device connected. With it just on but no device connected it doesn't hit the battery that hard.
