hope everyone is well..

had a look for an answer to this question but couldn't see one.. i used to have caller id, ie when someone called, who was in my address book, there name would come up on my screen when the phone was ringing.. now it is just the number, which isn't the best for work/friends stuff.. any ideas..

sorry, just to clarify and signal the difference between this issue and previous threads..

i have not changed country, i have the same country code as before in the smart dialling..

caller id juts disappeared three days ag, without me changing anything, syncing to the desktop or dropping it..

Jack, have you put content protection on your address book?

Options > Security > General Settings > Content Protection.

it was enabled.. but i didn't change that (well i don't think i did) i have just changed it to disabled now and will test it..

You are welcome... Content Protection enabled only heightens the security of your device (and causes some issues, as you see).

I only enable it when I am in time travel. I'd hate Ghegis Khan to access my BB phone book.
