Hello BBF


I just picked up my bold a few hours ago and I am still getting used to BBs. I currently have the 4.6 167 version on my bold and when I check for upgrades it shows "No upgrades available". Anyone know why this is happening?

Are you trying to do it from your computer?? or on your BlackBerry using "Wireless Upgrade"??

That dosen't work... i think that only works for BES user.... all the peoples i know upgrade their OS for the BlackBerry on the computer...

Can you explain what BES is please.

What version are you trying to upgrade to? If you are looking for the latest official release from AT&T it seems like you have it. If you are trying to upgrade to the beta 4.6.217 then you have to download the file and install it from your computer.

BES = Blackberry Enterprise Server
It is an enterprise version of Blackberry that integrates your BB with your Exchange account along with many other customizations available for the IT department. (that is the very short version)

oh i c.. Well I dont have an outlook account, I added my Yahoo account. I was planning on upgrading because the phone tends to get warm sometimes and I read that the new updates can help. I also would like the apps I downloaded to run smoother also..
