Default Random "Device is Locked"

Please Login to Remove!

This is driving me and my users crazy. Random "Device is Locked". Just installed .85 with the hopes that it would be corrected but it's still a problem. I'll be using the phone, taking a pic, sending an email, browsing, what have you and all of a sudden the device locks. I have to press "Unlock" and enter my password.

It's completely ramdom???

Any ideas?

Sounds like it's a bug in .85. Part of the beta experience. If it's really driving you crazy, you might want to roll back to .76 or .75.

It's not .85 it's been doing this since the original build.

We have a lot of Storm's but just got one yesterday which does this very thing, it was running .65 so I upgraded to .75 hoping it would fix it. Nada.

I am thinking it is bad hardware/accelerometer because it is so random (and frequent)

You have to be careful because hitting the top left hand corner of the storm locks the phone. It is a mute button but it also locks the phone. Sometimes when I am taking it out of the case it hits it by mistake and locks the phone.

I don't personally think it is a defect ... just an accident because of the placement of the button. See if that works and report back!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!

Thanks for the replys. The problem is not the lock (bottom left button) that locks the entire device. This problem is as stated above, random times regardless of the backlight timeout setting and inactivity timeout settings. I have seven other users reporting the same problem so I don't believe it's a one device problem.

No issues with this with mine. It locks every hour because I have it set to, and when I hit the lock button in the upper left hand corner. No other times.
