Hi all....i really really really need ur help.
as i checked my instant messaging folder, i discovered that the bbm dissappeared, so i checked 4 answers and solutions online. as instructed, i deleted the bbm frm the advanced options. Then, i did the restoring and backin' up; however, whn i went to app loader, i couldn't find bbm. there is no bbm that i can check on the app loader.

my head has been spinnin' 4 a whole day nw tryin' 2 solve the prob....nothin' worked.

btw, am a new member and am not so familiar with the bb insides.

please reply ASAP.

Have you tried reinstalling a fresh OS onto your computer before loading up desktop manager? Give that a try and see if blackberry messenger appears.

i am having the same exact problem on my bold OS 5.0.0.100
suddenly the icon disappeared, if i go to options>advanced options>application i see the module BBM 5.0.0.8 but not the icon.
i tried reinstalling the OS without wiping before, but nothing, still no icon.
can someone please please help me?

Yes. Desktop Manager seems to be the issue. I have seen this pop up several times after doing an OS upgrade. Un-install all OS and DTM. If asked to remove all current settings, say yes. Reinstall DTM & the latest version of OS to PC. Then update the OS on the Bold. BBM should be back.
