Unhappy Desktop Manager Problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I'm new to blackberry... while everything on my Curve 8310 works perfectly, Dektop Manager on my PC (XP Professional) is giving me hell: While the PC recognises my BB media card through USB (and shows me what's on the card...), Desktop Manager (v5.0) insists on "None" for device connection, so that I can practically not use it.
Can anyone please show me the way to full glory, please...

Before v5.0 I had v4.7 (that came with the BB on the CD) - and it behaved exactly the same...

I've seen this problem before with XP and I think it's a driver issue.Your pc will recognise your BB as a mass storage device just like a usb stick but won't recognise it as a piece of new hardware and install it.

Blackberry recomend that you always install the usb drivers before you install Desktop Manager and you will find an installation tutorial with links to download the drivers here.
