Default 7250 Data Plan questions-Verizon

Please Login to Remove!

I currently am using an LG Voyager and although I love the qwerty keyboard, I dont like the touch screen. Its also turning itself off then on again and I think the touch screen part is starting to go because I often have to tap it 2 or 3 times before it registers.

I own a BB 7250 that I used previously and I loved it! I want to start using it again but when I called Verizon, they told me that all BBs have to have a separate data plan which is 29.99. I find this interesting because I paid either 19.99 or 24.99 for the unlimited data plan before. I already pay 30 a month for my home internet.

Is there any way that I can get a data plan for my BB without having to pay 29.99? I only plan to use my BB for phone and texting as well as a planner.

I eventually plan to get the new BB 8530(the violet colored one) so that I can use all the BB features in which case I think the required data plan makes sense but right now I dont think it makes much sense.

Anyone know how I can get a lower costing data plan with verizon?

Thanks!

No, Verizon requires the BlackBerry Data Plan on any BlackBerry on their network.

Many other carriers don't require that.

Does anyone know when the plans were changed and why if you can get it cheaper with another carrier?

What plans were changed where?

Yes, ATT and Tmo have cheaper BlackBerry Data Plans.
